Obituary Clement (Clem) Darcey Janes September 6th, 1936 - June 15th, 2018 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Clement (Clem) Darcey Janes slipped away quietly with loved ones close by his side at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Friday, June 15th, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Born in Codroy, NL, Clem was the son of the late Darcey and Maria Janes (nee Parsons). He was predeceased by his sisters Alice (Howard) Moore, Annie (Clem) Reid, Winnie (Tom) Gale; brothers Jim Janes, Arthur (Jessie) Janes, George Janes, Walter Janes, Fred (Lorraine) Janes, Johnny Janes; infant baby William and brother-in-law Bill Samms. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sister Clara Samms of Stephenville, NL; brother Ralph (Ruth) Janes of Codroy, NL; sister-in-law Meriah Janes of Port aux Basques, NL plus a large circle of nieces and nephews including special nephew Randy (Brenda) Janes of Codroy, NL of which Clem resided with and special friends Nelson and Sharon Samms, Eddie Hilliard, and Ruth Samms. Visitation was held on Saturday, June 16th from 7-9 pm and continued on Sunday, June 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Codroy, NL. The funeral service was held on Monday, June 18th at 2 p.m. from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Codroy, NL officiated by Rev. Harold Harvey with interment followed at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Codroy, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations can be made to the family.
