DEER LAKE, N.L. —

Kyle Campbell and Josh Shears both scored twice Wednesday night as the Elwood High Lakers took Game 1 of a best-of-three West Coast High School Hockey League semifinal series against the St. James Regional Saints.

Brett Langdon scored the other goal for the Lakers in the win at the Hodder Memorial Recreation Complex.

Markus Buffett, Luke Penny and Cody Drover replied for the Saints in the loss.

Game 2 goes tonight in Port aux Basques.

In the other semifinal series, the Corner Brook Regional High Titans hold a 1-0 lead over the Stephenville High Spartans.
