It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Harry Lafosse announces his  passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL with his family by his side on Tuesday, April 17th, 2018 at the age of 90 years.
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Harry Lafosse announces his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL with his family by his side on Tuesday, April 17th, 2018 at the age of 90 years. Born in Cape La Hune, NL, Harry was the son of the late James Edward and Abigaile Lafosse (nee Spencer). He was also predeceased by his wife Pheobe Elizabeth Lafosse (nee Lawrence); sister Alice Jane (George) Pink; brother George Robert (Ruby) Lafosse; sons James T Blackmore, Emmanuel Blackmore; brothers and sisters-in-law James T Lawrence, George Lawrence, Wallace (Nellie) Lawrence, Clifford (Alice) Lawrence, Clyde (Martha) Lawrence, Etta (Elias) Wells, and Susie (George) Foote. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughters Ruby Parsons of Sydney, NS, Cedella Blackmore of Eastern Passage, NS; sons Clifford (Joan) Blackmore of Whitby, Ont, Gerald (Sarah) Blackmore of Toronto, Ont; grandchildren Michael (Wendy) Parsons, Gregory (Jocelyn) Parsons, Bill (Laurie) Blackmore, Kevin (Natasha) Blackmore, David Blackmore, Michael Blackmore, Jennie (Fred) Brown, Jennifer Blackmore, Tina Cormier, Kimberly Cormier, Jason (Dana) Pentland; great granddaughter Olivia Rae Spracklin Parsons, thirteen (13) other great-grandchildren; special companion of many years Hazel Kettle; sisters-in-law Lillian Lawrence of Port aux Basques, NL, Margaret Lawrence of Burnt Islands, NL; special friends and neighbours Frank (Cynthia) Porter who did so much for dad plus a large circle of nephews and nieces. Visitation was held on Thursday, April 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc in Port aux Basques, NL. The funeral service was held on Friday, April 20th at 2 pm from St. James Anglican Church in Port aux Basques, NL officiated by Rev. Marlene Harvey with interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
