Five arrests made in robbery investigation at Clarke’s Beach store

CLARKE'S BEACH, N.L. —

Five people were arrested in connection with a robbery that happened last month in Clarke’s Beach.

According to a Bay Roberts RCMP news release, two of the five people have been charged, with three others awaiting them.

A 20-year-old man who was scheduled to appear in Harbour Grace Provincial Court Friday is charged with robbery and breach of probation and a 17-year-old male youth is charged with robbery, disguise with intent and two court of breaking probation orders. According to the release, three additional young offenders will likely be charged with robbery and disguise with intent.

On March 2, Bay Roberts RCMP responded to a robbery at Harbour View Grocery in Clarke's Beach. Numerous masked individuals entered the store, took beer and demanded cash.
