The Writer’s Alliance of Newfoundland and Labrador is passionate about passion! And they want to share in the love with Newfoundland and Labrador romance authors.

Whether you’re multi-published or emerging, they want your best romantic scene to a maximum of 1000 words. They’re looking for swoon-worthy, polished submissions.
Participants will have a chance to have their work reviewed by internationally bestselling and award-winning authors from local romance publisher, Black Ink Romance.
CBC Weekend AM host Heather Barrett will announce the top 10 entries at Boca Tapas Bar on Feb. 13. Those 10 will be invited to read their work for an audience vote.
The top three audience favourites will receive some cool prizes and bragging rights! Prize pack contents will be announced in the near future.
Out of town, can’t be there on voting night or just not into reading in public? No problem. The Writer’s alliance will arrange a reader for you.
Send your steamy or sweet pages in a word doc or pdf to info@wanl.ca, subject line WANL Valentines Submission. Contest closes Jan. 31, 2019 at 5 p.m. NST. The only other requirements are that you must be 19+ years of age and a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador.
