Doreen Billard was one of the many nerds on Kiara’s Hopes and Dreams team. Kiara, a young cancer survivor has been the inspiration for many youth wanting to relay. Kiara raised $1,000 for her teams. Team number one raised the most money for the relay at $5,524.58, earning them an award in memory of Buelah and Joseph Lane.
St. James Regional High had two teams entered in the relay this year. By the look of teacher Gail Spicer and student Jenna Skinner, they had lots of fun. Student David Hann took home the award for youth, which is in memory of Michelle Coleman.
Les Chaulk and Cyril Keeping of the Seniors on Track team were captured during a giggle at the annual relay. The grand total raised this year was $49,501.59.
