Port aux Basques Blaze earn silver at midget tournament

The Port aux Basques Blaze captured the silver medal at the midget E provincial tournament at the Bruce II Sports Centre last week.

The host Blaze fell 5-1 to the Southern Shore Breakers in the final on March 30. The Breakers handed Port aux Basques their only loss of the round-robin earlier in the week.
Elsewhere in Easter tournaments, Port aux Basques 2 took silver in the peewee I tournament in Grand Falls-Windsor and Port aux Basques 1 finished just out of the medals at the peewee C event in Bishop's Falls.
The Port aux Basques bantam and atom teams were in tournament action Thursday through Saturday. Results were not available at deadline.
