Andrew Mercer buried four goals as Port aux Basques were the last team standing at the Ambrose O’Reilly Memorial Atom Invitational house league tournament Dec. 4.

Port aux Basques defeated Humber Arm Contracting of Corner Brook 7-6 in the championship game.

Nicky Grenning was the top scorer for the contracting crew, with a three-goal effort.

As the round robin’s top team, the contracting crew received a bye into the final game. Port aux Basques, meanwhile, had to overcome Barry Group Inc. 4-3 in a semi-final contest.

Cameron Tapp popped home all four goals for the victors.

Ryan Avery scored twice in the losing cause.
