The St. James Saints continued their disappointing season with another blowout loss Thursday night at the Bruce II Sports Centre.

The Saints were shut out 10-0 by the Elwood High Lakers, the first time St. James failed to light the lamp this season.

The game had been rescheduled after a cancellation in October.

Jacob Bennet led the Lakers with a hat trick and an assist, while Jonah Soucy added a pair of goals and three assists in the victory.

Mason Campbell, Drew Langdon, Michael Maher, Cody Way and Ethan Carroll each had a goal.

Kirkland Young picked up the win and the shutout, while Brady Aucoin took the loss for the Saints.

The loss dropped the Saints to 0-6-0 on the season. It was the fifth time in six games St. James gave up 10 goals or more.

The Saints will travel to Corner Brook next week to face the Titans.

The Lakers will be back in Port aux Basques Dec. 1 for a 6:30 p.m. start against St. James.
