On Jan. 4 winds of 200 kms were recorded in the St Andrews area. As a result of this storm major damage resulted to some properties, including our garage and house.
Unknown to us, some of the local residents saw the predicament we were in and took immediate action. It is thanks to them that further damage was avoided.
Our helpful neighbours later reached us to advise that things were under control.
We hope that through this heartfelt letter to the editor, we can show our appreciation.
We were unable to attend in person to help with the clean up and give our thanks in person because the ferry was cancelled due to the storm.
It is our plan is to rebuild.
