After a very late blast of winter Thursday, the southwest coast is in for some milder temperatures and sunny skies over the weekend.

Friday – Cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of flurries early in the morning. Clearing through the morning. Wind west at 20 km/h and gusting to 40, increasing to 50 with gusts to 70 near noon. High of 3 C. UV index 5 or moderate.

Friday night – Clear. Becoming partly cloudy before morning. Wind west at 50 km/h and gusting to 70, becoming northwest at 20 with gusts to 40 before morning. Low of 0 C.

Saturday – A mix of sun and cloud. Clearing near noon. Wind northwest at 20 km/h, gusting to 40. High of 5 C.

Saturday night – Cloudy periods. Low of 1 C.

Sunday – A mix of sun and cloud. High of 7 C.

Sunday night – Cloudy periods. Low of 1 C.
