Chase the ace goes in Burgeo

For the past 29 weeks The Burgeo Volunteer Fire Department have been playing "Chase the Ace" for a new fire truck and on June 6, Maurice Lushman drew the ace and won $32,827.50.

Over the course of the event, the department took in a grand total of $109,395.00.

Out of this they paid the Ace Pot $32,827.50 and a total of $21,886.00 in weekly door prizes.

The expense included licence fees of $547.14 and tickets of $1,431.77 leaving the fire department with a total of $52,702.59  raised for a new fire truck.
