Port aux Basques RCMP said someone broke into St. James Regional High School over the long weekend, likely sometime Sunday night.

Constable Marc Skinner said there was no major damage inside. There was some minor vandalism such as tipped over desks and tables.

Police believe entry was gained through a side door. Members of the West Coast Ident Section (forensics) have been working in partnership with the local RCMP on the investigation.

Police are asking for anyone with information to contact the local RCMP office or Crime Stoppers.
