Talks between 11 former workers with MacKenzie's Ambulance Service and the owners of the company have broken off.

The workers' lawyer, Andrew Parsons, said the two sides were unable to negotiate a suitable work schedule.

The comapny wants workers to adopt a six day on, three day off schedule. Workers do not agree with the schedule because it only gives every fifth or sixth weekend off.
