On March 10 the Isle aux Morts Volunteer Fire Department held its 33rd annual Firemen’s Ball.

Fire department member Angus Frampton receiving his 20 year pin from fire chief Sidney Scott and MP Judy Foote.

We would like to thank everyone who came out and helped us celebrate this event. During this dinner we received many donations. The Loyal Orange Lodge #177 donated two high-powered flashlightlights for the truck, a battery charger and an eliminator, valued in total at $700.

The town of Isle aux Morts donated $1,000, the community center gave $200, the Harbor Authority gave a donation of $200, and a donation was given by the Isle aux Morts firettes for $3,000.

During this event four members received their service pins. Mike Bobbett, James Frampton and Godfrey Billard received their 15 year pins and Angus Frampton received his 20 year pin.

During the past year we keep busy in the volunteer work with going to school for fire prevention week, bonfire night, treat bags at the school and the Santa Claus parade. We would like to thank all residents of the south west coast for their tremendous support over the past year with the fund-raisers, especially the dart tournament and dance.

Once again we would like to remind everyone to be fire safe!
