• BREAD AND ROSES - The Gateway Status of Women Council's annual Bread and Roses Dinner is set for 7 p.m. on March 8. Deadline for tickets is today. Tickets for the event, including a roast turkey dinner, can be purchased at St. Christopher's Hotel or the Gateway Women's Centre. • DAY OF PRAYER - The 2010 World Day of Prayer Worship Service hosted by St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church will take place at Wesley United Church in Port aux Basques on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Please join us and invite your friends and family to attend this service and learn more about Cameroon and its unique culture and heritage. Join Christians in more than 170 countries around the world and 2,000 communities across Canada who will gather on the World Day of Prayer to pray and act in solidarity with the people of Cameroon.

• STATUS OF WOMEN - The Gateway Status of Women Council will be holding their Annual General Meeting and Election of officers on March 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Hotel Port aux Basques. All south west coast women are invited to attend.
