CARD GAME - The Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Hospital Auxiliary are hosting a card game on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Seniors Building Main Street. Come and support your local hospital.

COMMUNITY LIVING -As a volunteer board member for the Southwest Coast Association for Community Living you can assist with the advocacy for equality for person with disabilities. ARTS GRANTS - The Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council is accepting applications from individual artists, groups and non-profit arts organizations for its Professional Project Grants Program. LUNCH AND LEARN - Sexual Assault Awareness Week. The Gateway Women's Centre will be hosting a free Lunch and Learn information session on sexual assault awareness on 12 p.m., Friday at Hotel Port aux Basques. Where do I go if I am a victim of Sexual Assault? What are my legal rights? Guest speakers for the event will be representatives from the RCMP and LeGrow Health Centre. GRANTS AVAILABLE - The Community Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador is now accepting applications from registered charities for grants of up to $2,000 to fund projects that deal with a wide range of activities - from health care and education, to social services, the arts and the environment. FALL SALE -St. James' ACW will hold their Fall Sale on Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. Baked goods, crafts, etc. Cold plates will be available for eat-in or take-out.
PROSTATE CANCER - Prostate cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in men in Canada, affecting one in every seven men in this province. For 10 years the Prostate Cancer Support Groups of Newfoundland and Labrador have hosted Walk a Mile in His Shoes, A pledge-based walk which raises awareness and encourages men to take action. LEAP CENTRE - Monday and Tuesday at 4:30 are cooking nights, game nights will be held on Thursday 6-8 p.m., Friday is activity night from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday is movie nights from 7-9 p.m.

PENSIONERS MEETING - A general meeting of CN and MA Pensioners Association will be held on the fourth Thursday of every month at 2 p.m. All members are requested to attend.
ORANGE LODGE - A Royal Williams #20 meeting is held every second Thursday of each month. The LOBA Daughters of Channel 819 meet on the first and third Thursdays of every month. The RBP 1161 meet every fourth Thursday of the month.
