TEEN DRAMA - The LEAP Centre, in conjunction with Peaceful Communities, is presenting 'A Cry From Within,' a teen drama about dating violence on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Shark Cove Theatre, Port aux Basques. Tea, coffee and snacks will be served. Play contains mature themes, parental discretion advised. Donations and non-perishable food items welcomed for the local food bank.

GRANTS AVAILABLE - The Community Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador is now accepting applications from registered charities for grants of up to $2,000 to fund projects that deal with a wide range of activities - from health care and education, to social services, the arts and the environment. Deadline for submission is Oct. 31. Please visit www.cfnl.ca for an application, or for more information email info@cfnl.ca.

HERITAGE MUSEUM - The Express Gift Shop at the Heritage Museum in Port aux Basques is now open from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. seven days a week. Local crafts, gifts and souvenirs. For more information please call 695-7560.

BOOKS WANTED - The LeGrow Hospital Auxiliary is looking for used books and pocket novels. To donate, contact Karina at 695-9643 or Pat at 695-9608.

LEAP CENTRE - Monday and Tuesday at 4:30 are cooking nights, game nights will be held on Thursday 6-8 p.m., Friday is activity night from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday is movie nights from 7-9 p.m.
